City makes progress on sewer fixes

Mayor James Sottile said this week that the city is approaching the finish line on a five-year effort to replace or reinforce the city’s most decrepit sewer mains. Currently, contractors are replacing major trunk lines around Clinton and Greenkill Avenues, Washington Avenue and Lucas Avenue. Rained-on Artists’ Soapbox Derby is Donskojs’ last

Though several thousand disappointed soapbox derby fans stayed home and folded laundry Sunday afternoon as it rained like the dickens, hundreds of unflappable spectators donned their slickers and braved the elements to attend the 16th annual Kingston Artists’ Soapbox Derby.
